Opt-out/in
Claudia can be a challenging character to play against, and requires a deliberate opt-in before engaging. Please comment here to let me know what you are comfortable with! Comments will be screened, and I won't reply here so you can edit them if you ever need to reevaluate. Feel free to freeform this and let me know how you're feeling, or opt out entirely if any of the following sounds like a deal breaker. Some particular areas that need to be covered include:
1. Blood drinking. Can Claudia attack and potentially gravely harm your character, or drink from them more consensually? More broadly, how comfortable are you with discussions of violence or gore that might come up? This can include harming both humans and animals.
2. Telepathy. Can Claudia read your character's thoughts? You can be particular about this, if you're comfortable with a surface read but nothing deeper, for example.
3. Sexuality. Claudia looks and can behave like a teenager, but hasn't been one for some time and regularly expresses her frustration with this situation through her sexuality. This is not an invitation to put her in sexual situations. She might discuss them candidly, though, so let me know if that's uncomfortable.
4. Period-typical racism and misogyny. She's from 1920s Louisiana with a pretty dark upbringing, and that informs her understanding of the world and how to interact with people. This can be limited to discussion of her experiences, but might extend to some assumptions about other people's behaviour. While I will be avoiding any harmful language, Claudia's reality of race, sex and class are integral to her character, and your boundaries about what can be explored can be particular.
